Thorngarth House is a Victorian Country House, located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Dales National Park, offering a restful and relaxing stay in this charming part of England, and is within a few minutes walk of Ingleton village centre, and enjoys all round, uninterrupted and picturesque views of the surrounding unspoilt countryside and natural dramatic landscape.

The village of Ingleton nestles at the foot of Ingleborough one of the famous Three Peaks amid wooded glens, waterfalls and caves. In the hills surrounding Ingleton there are many varied and beautiful walks. Ingleton is a superb centre for outdoor pursuits, a fine touring base and an excellent walking area.


The Guest House stands in the shadow of the majestic peak of Ingleborough amid spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and National Park overlooking the Forest of Bowland and the River Greta.

It is an ideal spot for day excursions to amongst others, the spectacular Lake District, Morecambe Bay and the charming Herriot Country all within easy travelling distance. There is much to enjoy in this and surrounding areas along with walking,rambling, cycling,caving, horse riding, fishing and golf. You can explore the delights of the local area including the Waterfalls Walk, Ingleborough and White Scar Caves, Ribblehead Viaduct on the Settle to Carlisle Railway, Ingleton Pottery and much more.There are also numerous places of interest and many scenic drives.

There again if it is a complete rest that you are looking for and you just want to get away from all the hustle and bustle, then you'll find the peaceful enviroment and relaxing atmosphere at Thorngarth House to be just right.

The Guest House offers excellent hospitality, superb home cooked food and is licensed to guests only. Each of the rooms is en suite, comfortable and tastefully decorated, enjoy views of the surrounding countryside and is equipped with colour TV, tea / coffee tray and clock radio.
